www.theblisspages.com - travel: YugoslaviaI have only been to Yugoslavia once, on a day trip from Italy. The coach took us to the Postumia caves, now in Slovenia.
The caves were incredible and I remember a train taking us into the mountain. I loved the formations, the underground river, and the atmospheric lighting. See Postumia caves for more information and pictures.
Unfortunately I developed a migraine on the way back to Italy and can still remember how I felt on this day thirty-five years ago, leaning against the cool window, blood thumping round a skull that felt too small for its contents. The journey was only three hours or so, but felt like days.
