www.theblisspages.com - it as'da be Asda! There may be a million diabetics in the UK who don't know they have it - and supermarket chain Asda is offering free testing. As I know only too well, most cases of diabetes arise at 40 or over - but simple changes in diet and exercise can play a major role in controlling or even preventing many of these cases.
A simple droplet of blood produced using a thumb pricker is enough to test for early warning signs of diabetes such as raised blood glucose levels, and Asda's in-store pharmacy teams will manage these tests free of charge.
Asda believes as many 250,000 of its eleven million regular customers could have the condition and says people wishing to take advantage of testing should ring their local store to find out on which days it will be available.
