www.theblisspages.com - suicide
I believe everyone has the right to die when they wish.
It doesn't matter if they are on remand, in prison or terminally ill. It should be an inalienable right and I support the efforts of Dignitas and similar organisations to assist those that cannot kill themselves.
Dignitas rents an apartment in the centre of Zurich in Switzerland, where clients take a lethal dose of barbiturates and die listening to their favourite music.
If you aren't sure whether you're ready to go, then I can recommend contacting The Samaritans. They will listen to anyone non-judgementally, and sometimes that's what you need if you are in despair.
Two OAPs (aged 81 and 76) recently killed themselves in a suicide pact, as they didn't want to end up in a nursing home. The coroner rapped a guide on suicide found near their bodies, saying, "People need support not encouragement to destroy their lives". I totally disagree. I support their right to end their lives at a time of their own choosing.
